WHY WE CALL SYRACUSE HOME...
Light snow falling,
Christmas music playing in the background,
kids glowing in anticipation,
home-made ornaments hanging from the tree,
arms around each other to stay warm...
It's time to light our Christmas tree centered in the
middle of our brick laid Main Street. With the
German heritage in Syracuse comes an age old tradition
of lighting the community tree.
Each year on the first Saturday in December the
Tannenbaum Celebration starts in the early
morning and continues through dusk with the tree
lighting. Events include, but are not limited to, retail open
houses, Kids Time, bake sales, Christmas music, a Santa
visit, and the tree lighting. Events are sponsored
by the Syracuse Area Chamber of Commerce.
Rain, sleet, or snow, plan to attend the
2011 Syracuse Tannenbaum Celebration!!!!
